How It Works
Turbines are the exact opposite of fans. Instead of using electricity to generate wind, turbines use wind to produce electricity. In order for this is to work, wind must be present, obviously. The wind spins the blades of the turbine, which spins the shaft. The shaft is connected to the generator, which creates electricity. The electricity is then stored and sent out to people who need it.
